Working Within The Sustainability Sector
It’s been almost a year since we last posted on here – apologies, we have been busy!
2020 saw us move further into working within the sustainability sector. We’ve been busy working with brands that tackle climate change, from clean energy companies helping accelerate the clean energy transition to charities that aim to get climate change at the top of the agenda. We’ve enjoyed producing podcasts – our latest podcast for The War on Climate Change, with Iceland’s MD, Richard Walker is here. Richard talked about his new book and why businesses must be leading the charge in tackling climate change.
With the ongoing pandemic we saw the spotlight on climate change dim but we’re hopeful that as the world slowly gets back to some sort of normality, climate change will once again become something everyone everywhere should care about.
Looking at the media, we very much welcomed the introduction of The Daily Climate Show on Sky. By having a dedicated, daily programme on the greatest threat to humanity, Sky is ahead of the curve. We predict many mainstream media companies to follow. It’s pretty incredible how far we have come in the media. Only a few years ago when I produced for BBC News we would have to have ‘balance’ – meaning we must include a climate change sceptic! Thankfully, the focus can now be on how to act on climate change rather than questioning if it’s actually happening!
We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming up including looking ahead to the much-anticipated climate change conference in Glasgow in November where we hope to be helping brands engage with policy makers and help tackle climate change.
